The Chemical Equation for the Combustion of Ethanol in Oxygen

The explosion will be triggered from the reaction of ethanol in oxygen and it will shoot our cannonball.
The chemical formula for Ethanol is:  C2H5OH
The chemical formula for Oxygen is: O2
When these two compounds are placed together, they form CO2 and H2O

C2H5OH + O CO2 + H2O
BUT! it is not balanced yet. you must place coefficients in front in order to balance and finally we have our equation!
C2H5OH + 3 O2 à 2 CO2 + 3 H2O

C=2                  |     C=2
H=6                  |     H=6
O=7                  |     O=7

  2. I agree with Khyber, this WAS very clear, although I think it would be nice if you explained the last part a little more, and explain how you got your balanced equation.
